چکیده

Background: The aim of this study was to highlight the structural changes in patients with cataract following surgery and repercussions on anterior pole. Methods: A total 83 diagnosed who underwent uneventful phacoemulsification included. Every patient examined one week prior two weeks after surgery. Pre- postoperative assessment included examination posterior segment, keratometry, optical biometry. Results: pre- vs. axial length (AL) mean difference 0.07 ± 0.18 mm (p < 0.001).The chamber depth (ACD) preoperative ACD values (1.11 0.50 mm) also statistically significant 0.001). linear regression function central corneal thickness (CCT) = 0.9004 × (preoperative CCT) + 0.0668, where it characterized a reduced positive correlation (R2) 68.89% between CCT CCT. pre-/post-operative differences K1 were 0.08 0.38 D, datasets 0.0152). pre/postoperative K2 0.002 0.58 D 0.4854). Conclusions: deepened significantly postoperatively. Regarding AL, there decrease surgery, very good post values. decreased age. 2.2-mm incision during resulted relatively small residual astigmatism.

Ocular biometric measurements in cataract surgery candidates in Portugal

OBJECTIVE Describe the ocular biometric parameters and their associations in a population of cataract surgery candidates. METHODS A cross-sectional study of 13,012 eyes of 6,506 patients was performed. Biometric parameters of the eyes were measured by optical low-coherence reflectometry. The axial length (AL), mean keratometry (K) and astigmatism, anterior chamber depth (ACD) (epithelium to l...

Biometric parameters and intra ocular lens power used for cataract eyes in Karnali, Nepal.

INTRODUCTION The biometric parameters of the eye are measured for the calculation of the intra ocular lens power to be used in cataract surgery. OBJECTIVE To report the keratometry reading, axial length and intra ocular lens power used for eyes operated for cataract in Karnali Zone, Nepal, and to compare these findings with those reported in other similar studies. SUBJECTS AND METHODS The d...

Astigmatism following cataract surgery.

The changes in corneal curvature were determined at regular intervals over a one-year period following intracapsular cataract extraction by microsurgical techniques. During the first postoperative month photokeratometric measurements showed rapid changes in astigmatism associated with large changes in the direction of the axis. Thereafter astigmatism against-the-rule predominated. Data from the...
